Family Health Services selects unified EMR, PM solution
eClinicalWorks, a provider of unified end-to-end ambulatory EMR (electronic medical records) and PM (practice management) systems for multilocation, multispecialty medical practices, announced that Family Health Services (FHSM), a 65-doctor, 13-location practice based in St. Paul, Minnesota, has chosen to deploy its solution.
"As a growing medical practice with offices scattered throughout the St. Paul and east metro area, we deemed a proven EMR and practice management solution critical to ensuring the effective management of patient and practice data and ultimately the delivery of superior care," said Paul Berrisford, the CEO of Family Health Services. "After looking at several industry solutions we concluded that eClinicalWorks was the best option for our operation."
FHSM physicians treat over 720,000 patients, delivering an array of family practice medical services, including preventive, pediatric, OB/GYN, and chronic care services. In recent months, FHSM found it was experiencing difficulties effectively managing the growing amount of patient and practice data. Additionally, FHSM's payor community measures its performance on preventive, diabetic, hypertension, and smoking-cessation services. Per the contracts with these payors, FHSM receives increased payment for superior performance in meeting care outcomes.
With a system in place such as eClinicalWorks the organizations would now be able to provide the data and audit trail necessary for these measures, according to the company.
