2005 TEPR Awards for EHR systems for small practices, prescriptions awarded
EClinicalWorks, a provider of ambulatory electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems, announced it won 2 TEPR Awards in the categories of EHR Systems for Small Practices and e-Prescription Management Systems
EClinicalWorks also placed second in the category of EHR Systems for Medium and Large Practices.
TEPR (Toward an Electronic Patient Record) is a 5-day event offering numerous pre-conference tutorials, presentations, an exhibit hall, and presenters. Some of the most popular topics include the continuity of care record, e-prescribing, workflow for EHRs, government incentives and plans, patient safety, mobile (wireless) solutions and implementation issues of EHRs.
EClinicalWorks' EMR system allows patient information to be entered using predefined phrases. The system learns a user's vocabulary and develops a clinical content data bank. The prescription management feature allows physicians to write or fax multiple prescriptions, check for drug interaction information, and select from common dosages.
