eClinicalWorks Selects NaviSite for Managed Services and Disaster Recovery Offerings

NaviSite's Industry Reputation and Ability to Build Custom Solution Key in Selection


ANDOVER, Mass. Feb. 7, 2006—NaviSite, Inc. (NASDAQ: NAVI), a leading provider of IT hosting, outsourcing and professional services for mid- to large-sized organizations, today announced that eClinicalWorks has selected NaviSite for a managed services offering as well as an offsite disaster recovery and business continuity planning solution.

NaviSite will design, build and manage eClinicalWorks' eClinicalWeb Application Service Provider (ASP) infrastructure and the eClinicalWeb Patient Portal. The eClinicalWeb ASP provides physician practices anywhere access to the eClinicalWorks' unified solution for Practice Management, Electronic Medical Records and Document Management. The eClinicalWeb Patient Portal lets patients and doctors communicate easily, safely, and securely over the Internet.

For both of these projects, NaviSite worked with eClinicalWorks to customize their managed service offering to fit eClinicalWorks specific hardware needs while keeping costs reasonable. eClinincalWorks will utilize NaviSite's state-of-the-art data centers to house their company's data and maintain a managed disaster recovery and business continuity planning solution but will maintain complete control and flexibility of their infrastructure.
