Sneak Peak - eClinicalWorks Users’ Conference 2010
Hello. I would first like to introduce myself, my name is Jagoda
Welch, and I work in the marketing department at eClinicalWorks.
Presently I am in beautiful Kissimmee Florida at the Gaylord Palms,
attending the 2010 eClinicalWorks’ Users’ Conference. I hope to give you
all a taste of what is happening at this event; the news as I hear it.
So without further ado, let me get into it.
Tonight I had an opportunity to attend the reception event, a sort of
meet and greet, which I think is more of a sneak peak. I found out that
there will be a lot going on tomorrow and in the days to follow. I had
an opportunity to speak with Girish Kumar Navini, co-founder and CEO of
eClinicalWorks and he said, “It is incredible to have 2,500+ attendees
here and over 3,000 people that will be attending the Fall Festival
tomorrow night. There will be announcements of some amazing things this
week that will be changing the landscape of what the perception of what
EHRs are.”
There certainly is a buzz in the air and I am waiting with baited breath
for these announcements. Changing the landscape of what the perceptions
of EHRs are? I cannot wait to write about it.
I did get a feeling that there will be a lot to do with Meaningful Use.
I also overheard some eClinicalWorks’ employees discussing taking
patient engagement to the next level. I cannot wait to find out how and
then share this with everyone.
Though the reception event was only two hours, it did seem that the
consensus was that eClinicalWorks guests are excited to hear about what
new things are coming. I too am excited. Stay tuned, I think this year
is going to be a big one!
