Caritas Christi Network Services (CCNS), part of the second largest healthcare system in New England, selected eClinicalWorks for an ambitious electronic health records project that will affect approximately 1400 physicians in seven affiliated independent practice associations. "This is an unprecedented opportunity to create a network for all Caritas Christi physician offices," said Asher Kramer, CCNS senior vice president in a Healthcare IT News article. "We view IT as a strategic asset, not simply a technical asset. Our plan is to use this new EHR system as a means to link various physician groups together from a population management perspective."
EHRRI is comprised of 1300 providers, which consists of over 500 small practices and five hospitals. Interfaces with hospital systems like Siemens, IDX and Meditech have been deployed in record time. Together EHRRI and eClinicalWorks are striving for state-wide adoption of the Unified EMR and Practice Management Solution to improve the quality, efficiency and safety of medical care across Rhode Island.
Hendricks Regional Health Medical Group (HRHMG), the medical network associated with Hendricks Regional Health, has chosen eClinicalWorks to streamline practice operations for its 20 locations. "We are committed to providing the highest quality healthcare in a compassionate, technologically advanced and efficient environment," said Dennis Barger, vice president in charge of HRHMG operations. "To that end, we sought an EMR/PM system that would increase the quality of patient care through enhancing network communication and operating more efficiently. eClinicalWorks was selected for its ease-of-use, intuitive nature and the system’s flexibility. After a diligent investigation of several large, EMR/PM vendors and systems, our physicians showed a clear preference for eClinicalWorks."
Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative is a nonprofit organization coordinating a $50 million electronic medical records project in three Massachusetts communities. Each physician practice has been allowed to select the EMR of its choice without thought to cost as the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation is covering the bill as long as the EMR is integrated into the practice. eClinicalWorks has proven to be the overwhelming favorite among doctors participating this project with 170 out of 180 doctors offices selecting eClinicalWorks. This innovative project is being carefully watched by several other states.
Memorial Hermann Health Network Providers (MHHNP) has chosen eClinicalWorks EMR/PM for nearly 1300 physicians across southeast Texas; also implementing eClinicalWorks Electronic Health eXchange for community health records. "Memorial Hermann prides itself for the most innovative solutions for improving the quality of patient care," said Dr. Richard Blakely, Chief Medical Officer. New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has chosen eClinicalWorks in a $19.8 million deal as part of its Primary Care Information Project (PCIP) initiative. Initially, 1300 physicians serving the City’s neediest communities are implementing eClinicalWorks EMR/PM, with the potential of expanding to additional providers. "Using EHRs in primary care could actually improve people's health," said Dr. Farzad Mostashari, Assistant New York City Health Commissioner directing New York City's Primary Care Information Project. "They improve care and place much-needed emphasis on preventive medicine. We are pleased to be working with eClinicalWorks to bring this critical technology to the New Yorkers who need it most."
Summa Health System brings together physicians from three Ohio hospitals in Akron City, St. Thomas and Cuyahoga Falls General making it one of the largest organized delivery systems in the state. With eClinicalWorks, their healthcare providers will be able to streamline internal processes between the health system’s three hospitals. The Patient Portal allows its patients and physicians to communicate easily, safely, and securely over the Internet for aspects of their care including appointments, lab results and statements. "Implementing an EMR platform through eClinicalWorks underscores to our resident candidates and our patients the value we place on continually evolving as a healthcare organization to meet the ever changing impact technology has on patient care," said Dr. Michael Maggio, chair of Summa Health Network, Summa Health System’s physician-hospital organization.

Mount Auburn Cambridge Independent Practice Association, Inc. (MACIPA) has selected eClinicalWorks EMR/PM for more than 230 physicians that will ultimately participate in this project. "MACIPA's hallmark is its emphasis on innovation, leading our members to use and develop systems that support physicians who are in private practice, as well as those physicians who are employed," said Dr. Barbara Spivak, president. Norman Physician Hospital Organization (NPHO) has purchased licenses of eClinicalWorks EMR/PM software to streamline practice operations for more than 100 providers in 31 affiliated practices. "NPHO's long-term goal is to create a community health record for its patients," said Gary Clinton, executive director. "Implementing a clinical integration system is a major step in achieving this goal. NPHO selected eClinicalWorks for its superior track record in customer satisfaction and its commitment to ensuring its solutions work well with our current systems, including interfacing with Meditech."
