Utilizing cloud technology, eClinicalWorks developed Nimbus, an innovative system-downtime solution to keep your practice functioning during EHR outages. Nimbus synchronizes information from your practice, enabling you to view and update patient information through a separate, dedicated cloud. As Nimbus is Webbased, your schedule, patient medical summaries, and basic visit documentation functionality is easily accessed through your Internet browser. If the Internet is down, utilize Nimbus with an iPad® or other tablet with 3G.
Data captured in Nimbus is synced to the eClinicalWorks EHR when connectivity is restored and saved to the patient’s health record as a Nimbus Encounter. So even with an outage, your practice can function as normal*.
- Manage Schedules – Access provider schedules and verify patient appointments
- Document Visits – Enter reason for the patient visit, document notes of the visit, document required Labs and DI, and search and select ICD codes and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT)** Codes
- Access Medical Summaries – View patient medical summaries including problem list, allergies, current medications, and labs and DI
- e-Prescribe – Electronically submit or fax prescription requests to the pharmacy
