150 Providers Implement Integrated System to Streamline Operations
Between Federally Qualified Health Centers

NEW ORLEANS, HIMSS Conference, Booth #1569—February 26, 2007—eClinicalWorks™, a market leader in unified EMR/PM systems, today announced that the Community Care Network of Virginia (CCNV), Inc., the statewide primary care provider network and health care management company, has chosen eClinicalWorks unified electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management (PM) solution to streamline practice operations between locations and from patient check-in to check-out. Initially, 150 providers are implementing the client/server version of eClinicalWorks EMR/PM, with the potential of expanding to additional providers. eClinicalWorks is also providing CCNV an interface with LabCorp®, one of the world’s largest clinical laboratories.

“Electronic medical records are the next step in improving the quality of care for all of our patients,” said Dr. Gary Michael, head of Community Care Network of Virginia’s eHealth Workgroup. “Our funding is reliant on the reports we submit and the quality of that data. eClinicalWorks understands this and was unanimously selected by our centers because of the quality of its technology and the tight relationship the company fosters with its customers.”

CCNV is a network of all of Virginia’s Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), as well as private practices and other safety providers delivering high-quality care to patients with limited financial resources. eClinicalWorks has enhanced its product according to the stringent reporting and billing requirements that apply to these organizations, ensuring there is no interruption in the funding that supports their work. Using eClinicalWorks EMR/PM, CCNV will streamline internal processes between practice locations and promote patient safety while reducing costs. FQHCs participating in this initiative will have some of the costs covered through outside grants from sources including the Virginia Healthcare Foundation.

“Federally Qualified Health Centers offer quality care to patients under stricter guideline than many private clinics,” said Girish Kumar Navani, president of eClinicalWorks. “Over the past two years, we have enriched our products to meet the unique needs of these centers. CCNV’s selection of eClinicalWorks is a validation of our strategy and vision in this area.”
