Seventh Annual Awards Honor Companies Growing in the Commonwealth

WELLESLEY, Mass.—December 7, 2010 —eClinicalWorks ®, a market leader in ambulatory clinical systems, was named a Silver winner in the Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development (MassEcon) Seventh Annual Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Awards. These awards celebrate companies in all regions of the state that have made an outstanding contribution to the Massachusetts economy.

eClinicalWorks provides a comprehensive electronic health records solution to physician practices, out-patient departments of hospitals, health centers, departments of health and convenient care clinics across the United States. In June, the company announced that it has acquired a 100,000 square foot expanded headquarters in Westborough, Mass., to provide additional space due to the recent success and growth eClinicalWorks has experienced.

A luncheon to honor winners was held on November 23rd with words from Governor Deval Patrick and Wyc Grousbeck, managing partner and CEO of the Boston Celtics.

eClinicalWorks was selected in addition to other regional companies. The winners were selected based on a variety of factors, including job growth, facility expansion, investment, and community involvement. The winning companies range in size and represent a variety of industries including medical devices, software, manufacturing, and life sciences.
