Multi-specialty Organization Utilizing eClinicalWorks Electronic Health Records to Advance Quality of Care

WESTBOROUGH, Mass.—December 15, 2014—eClinicalWorks®, a leader in ambulatory healthcare IT solutions, today announces that New York’s Northern Medical Specialists has selected eClinicalWorks’ comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) solution for its 70 providers. Designed to improve care coordination, the technology provides specialty-specific features as well as aiding the organization in quality initiatives, including Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) program for meaningful use, National Center for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognition and CMS program Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS).

“Northern Medical Specialists is dedicated to meeting our patients’ needs wherever and whenever our patients need us,” said Dr. Maddipoti J. Choudry, head of board of directors for Northern Medical Specialists. “We needed a new system that could handle our growth and manage care across locations. Our physicians found eClinicalWorks to be the most user-friendly, and we believe eClinicalWorks will help us continue to enhance patient care through the flexible, intuitive nature of the technology. Using this system will also help us navigate several quality initiatives, including meaningful use, CPC, PCMH and PQRS.”
