Crusader Community Health Implements Unified System to Streamline Operations for 54 Providers in Four Locations

Westborough, Mass.—February 2, 2009—eClinicalWorks®, a market leader in ambulatory clinical systems, today announced that Crusader Community Health, one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in Illinois, has chosen eClinicalWorks unified electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management (PM) solution for its 54 providers and four locations. Crusader will also use eClinicalWorks Enterprise Business Optimizer (eBO) for enhanced reporting capabilities.

“Crusader is the only FQHC serving Northwest Illinois and it sees nearly 600 new patients per month,” said Gordon Eggers, CEO of Crusader Community Health. “We needed a unified system that would help us streamline operations between locations, while offering excellent and affordable care to our patients. We selected eClinicalWorks for its unique abilities to provide proactive analysis of key financial and clinical performance indicators, and its commitment to the requirements of FQHCs. eClinicalWorks is an extremely dynamic, financially secure and growing company that is committed to serving our needs.”

Crusader Health Center is one of the largest FQHCs in Illinois, providing healthcare to more than 42,000 people annually through its four locations in the Rockford area. Using eClinicalWorks EMR/PM, Crusader will streamline processes between practice locations and promote patient safety while reducing costs. Crusader has also chosen to implement eBO, which uses meta-data to give the practice more flexibility through the creation of customized reports and by performing clinical and financial analysis.

“We have worked closely with federally qualified health centers to enhance our products in order to meet the unique needs of these centers,” said Girish Kumar Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “FQHCs are a growing market for implementing electronic health records and we have had great success implementing our solutions in these centers. Crusader selected eClinicalWorks partly based on our track record in this area and we look forward to working with them to make this project a success.”
