Data Exchange with QHIN Designation

In a significant stride towards enhancing healthcare interoperability, eClinicalWorks, recently achieved a significant milestone by being designated as a Qualified Health Information Network® (QHIN™). This positions eClinicalWorks to advance health data exchange, enhancing patient care and empowering healthcare practices.

This collaboration aims to expand the network of data-sharing providers, ultimately enhancing the quality of patient care.

The QHIN Journey

Our journey to QHIN status began in August 2023, with the announcement of our application intent. By November 2023, we submitted the application to The Sequoia Project, which oversees the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA). After a thorough review process, we are now officially recognized as a QHIN.

What’s Next?

The QHIN designation enables us at eClinicalWorks, to further our interoperability goals, benefiting healthcare providers and patients across the country.

With eClinicalWorks at the helm, the future of healthcare interoperability looks promising. Access to comprehensive patient information at the point of care allows healthcare providers to make more informed decisions, improving patient outcomes and overall care quality.

The infrastructure provided by TEFCA will help create a more connected and efficient healthcare system nationwide, benefiting both providers and patients.

PRISMANet: Leading the Way

eClinicalWorks’ new QHIN designation marks a significant advancement in health data exchange.

For healthcare practices using eClinicalWorks’ solutions, the future is bright. PRISMANet is set to offer a more integrated approach to patient care, leading to better outcomes, reduced administrative burdens, and enhanced operational efficiency.

With the new solution, PRISMANet, healthcare providers can access comprehensive patient information exactly when they need it. This seamless access supports better decision-making and improved patient outcomes.

Collaborating for Better Care

By embracing TEFCA and the 21st Century Cures Act, eClinicalWorks is poised to lead the way in healthcare interoperability. This means healthcare practices will have the information they need to deliver high-quality care to their patients at the point of care.
