NC23: Tips for an Optimal Conference Experience

eClinicalWorks

Six Things to Know Before You Get to Nashville

We’re days away from the 2023 eClinicalWorks® and healow® National Conference.

We can’t wait to see you in person to show you the hundreds of updates, advancements, and innovations we’ve developed for healthcare IT solutions. Before we get to the good stuff, here are some things you can do to prepare so that you have a stellar experience at the Conference.

1. The Events App Is Your Conference Skeleton Key

Download the eClinicalWorks Events App now. It’s the most important thing you can do. The app gives you access to everything:

  • The Breakout Sessions schedule
  • Your personal schedule
  • A map of the venue

And any other information you may need.

2. Register Thursday Night to Beat the Friday Rush

Option 1: Take a nice, leisurely stroll to the registration desk on Thursday, October 19 – the night before the Conference kicks off – at any time between 2:00 PM-8:00 PM to pick up your name badge, without the stress.

Option 2: Fight your way through the masses and long lines on Friday, October 20 – the morning the Conference kicks off – from 7:30 AM-Noon to pick up your name badge, with all the stress.

If you’re arriving on or before Thursday at 8:00 PM, we recommend Option 1. Stop by as soon as you check into the hotel to grab your badge and other Conference materials. You’ll beat the Friday rush and have more time to focus on the learning opportunities over the next three days.

3. Function Beats Fashion – Wear Comfy Shoes

Our National Conference is a big event. A big event needs a big venue. A big venue involves a lot of walking and on-your-feet time. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, and bring a backup pair, just in case. Save your stylish shoes for the Saturday Night Nashville Bash. For the three days of the Conference, put comfort first.

4. Layer Up for Lower Temperatures

The Conference space will be climate-controlled. Thousands of people will fill the halls. And yet the space has a high potential to be drafty, chilly, even tundra-like. Look, it might be a bit cold in the venue. Pack a light jacket or sweatshirt, just in case.

5. You Bring Your Water Bottle, We’ll Bring the Water Stations

We’re going to have water stations all over the joint. Remember to bring your favorite reusable water bottle. It’s the best way for you to stay hydrated and to help us reduce waste and conserve resources.

6. Stretch Out Between Sessions to Enhance Your Performance

With so much to learn and absorb, our National Conference can be an intense and exhausting experience. Remember to call some timeouts for yourself to keep focused. Use your between-sessions time to stretch out, take a short walk, and grab some water. You’ll feel better and learn better when you’re relaxed and refreshed.

Bonus. Satisfy the Selfie Scavenger Hunt

The Conference ain’t all business. We got the Friday night reception. We got the Saturday night bash. And we got a Selfie Scavenger Hunt all Conference long. Check the list of selfie challenges in the eCW Events App. Snap and post selfies on your socials with hashtag #eCWNC23. And we’ll be keeping tabs. Submit the most selfies to take the top spot on the leaderboard.
